Park for Better is a charitable initiative proudly founded by Parkedin, a Melbourne-based car park operator established in 2020. After managing over 20 car parks across the city, we’ve seen a side of Melbourne that’s hard to ignore — people in our own neighbourhoods going without basic needs like shelter, food, and water.

We reached a point where we simply couldn’t keep looking away.

While we’re not experts in social services, we do understand one thing well — parking. And we noticed a pattern: after hours and on weekends, many car parks sit empty while people continue to pay for street parking. So we asked ourselves — what if we could turn unused parking spaces into something more meaningful?

That’s how Park for Better was born.

We open up underutilised car parks outside of business hours, and instead of paying standard fees or street meters, drivers can make a small donation. 100% of profits go directly to charities supporting vulnerable people in our community.
